Nuthurst Grange Wedding
Sophie & Rich had their e shoot with us at the lovely Ardencote Manor back in summer 2014. When we first met these guys the year before we knew we would be friends for life and we have seen them many times for dinner and drinks! This is one thing we love so much about our job, we make so many lovely friends and I don’t think you can say that for many jobs these days so we are very blessed.
Their wedding was in November 2014 and my goodness did it rain! It was our only wedding of 2014 where we were visited by the wet stuff so we did quite well really and we were lucky that we had such a chilled out Bride and Groom. It reminded me of our own wedding in 2012 on Jubilee weekend where it rained sideways all day but you just cannot let it bother you!
Their ceremony was at a church in Alvechurch which we had shot at before a few months previous for Rianne & Dan’s wedding and we were reunited with that legendary vicar! (you will see!). We then made a swift dash to Nuthurst Grange for the wedding breakfast and reception. It was quite challenging for us as we hadn’t shot many weddings in the rain but we embraced it, got out our trusty lighting kit and did the group shots indoors and everyone was so accommodating so it went without a hitch even if the staff were angry that we did the confetti shot indoors! oops!
Rich & Soph were so great and we did their couple shots outdoors in the rain with umbrellas on hand and then all of a sudden we got a huge ray of sunshine! It was beautiful and so well timed as they were just about to head in for their dinner.
It was a beautiful day and we have made some life long friends in the couple 🙂 Enjoy!
