Coombe Abbey Wedding
Gemma & Brandt had a Coombe Abbey Wedding and booked me through their recommended photographers list. From the day they booked me to the day of the wedding they were wonderful and I knew we would have the best day!
Gemma, originally from Derry, Northern Ireland and Brandt from Leicester had a bit of a digital love story. They met after talking on Instagram soon after Gemma had moved to London. Gemma explained that seeing as she was former ‘Miss Northern Ireland’ and he worked for Green and Blacks chocolate at the time as a taste specialist, their Instagram feeds attracted each other very well. As you can see their love for chocolate continued hence the personalised wedding favours and the incredible Brownie wedding cake that Brandt created for their big day
When the wedding day came Gemma was getting ready in one of Coombe’s gorgeous suites where the bathroom is in the wardrobe! It always gets me! Gemma opted for 2 wedding dresses, one for the ceremony/wedding breakfast and the second for the party later. She was joined by her lovely Bridesmaids, Mum and Dad. Gemma’s Dad’s reaction was so heart-warming when he saw her in her dress for the first time.
The ceremony took place in the gorgeous Abbeygate building of Coombe Abbey and then it was time to have canapes and champagne on the West Terrace. Coombe provided such a wonderful backdrop for their groups photos as well as their couple shots. It never disappoints! The wedding breakfast took place in The Couthouse area of the building and the food looked incredible. I can imagine it was a little nerve wracking for the chefs at Coombe cooking for a food expert such as Brandt! He now has his own food product development company called Tastehead which is going from strength to strength.
After the speeches I managed to grab the couple for a few more shots outside at ‘Golden hour’ in the grounds of Coombe Abbey. I love capturing these images at this time of the day, the light is so much lower and creates such a lovely tone to the photos and I always try and get a cheeky silhouette. Not to mention getting a few shots of Brandt in his top hat!
Finally they enjoyed their first dance and father Daughter dance in the lower part of The Courthouse and partied until the early hours.
Thank you so much for having me at your wedding guys, it was amazing and now you have your gorgeous little boy to enjoy life with.
